  2. Free Consultation

  3. Application Preparation

We prepare and review every document before it goes anywhere, so nothing is rejected on a technicality.

  4. University Submission

We submit to the universities on your shortlist and track each application until a decision comes back.

You receive your offers. We explain what each one means and help you choose between them.

  6. Visa and Arrival Support

We guide the visa application, then prepare you for travel, arrival and your first weeks on campus.

What It Costs 服务费用

Two payments, and the second one only after you are admitted

Nothing is charged while we work out whether you qualify. We read your documents first and tell you honestly where you stand, and you only begin paying once we know you meet the criteria.

Before anything

Free

Document Review

  • Transcripts and certificates checked
  • Measured against real entry requirements
  • An honest answer either way

If you do not meet the criteria, you find out here, before any money moves.

Step one

USD 199

Application Stage

  • University application fees
  • Document translation
  • Preparation and submission of your file

Non refundable, because it is spent on your behalf. It pays the universities and the translators rather than sitting with us.

Step two

USD 299

After Admission

  • Due once your admission comes through
  • Nothing owed if it has not

You see the result before this payment is made. That is the whole point of splitting it.

USD 498 in total for the admission service. CSCA preparation is a separate program at USD 149, covering the online classes and the study materials we provide. Tuition and living costs are paid to the university and are not part of our fee.

Student Stories 学生评价

What students say once they arrive

I applied from home with no idea where to start. ECS China shortlisted universities that matched my grades, checked every document before it went out, and my admission letter came through within two months.
A. Okonkwo
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering
The research proposal was the part I worried about most. Having someone review draft after draft until it was right is what got me the offer, and the scholarship with it.
S. Rahman
Master's in International Business
Questions were answered the same day, every time. Applying from another country, that mattered more than I expected, because I always knew exactly where my application stood.

Questions 常见问题

Answers before you ask

How do I apply to study in China?

Start by sending us your details through the form on this page. We review your academic background, confirm which programs you qualify for, then guide you through document preparation and submit your application to the universities you choose. You do not need to approach the universities yourself.

Can ECS China help with scholarships?

Yes. We review your eligibility against the scholarships open to your nationality, academic record and chosen program, then build an application strategy around the ones you have a real chance of winning. We also help prepare the supporting documents each scholarship asks for.

Do you assist Bachelor's and Master's applicants?

Both. For Bachelor's applicants we focus on university selection and getting the application file right. For Master's applicants we add program matching and research proposal guidance, which is usually what decides the outcome at that level.

What is the CSCA?

The China Scholarship Competency Assessment measures how ready a student is for scholarship study in China. A strong result strengthens a scholarship application, so we run a preparation program built specifically around it.

Do you provide online preparation classes?

Yes. The CSCA preparation program runs weekly online classes alongside study materials, mock examinations and progress tracking, so students anywhere in the world can take part.

How long does the admission process take?

It depends on the intake and the university. Most applications take one to three weeks from submission to a decision, and scholarship results usually take longer. We give you the expected timeline for your specific choices before you apply.

How much does it cost to study in China?

Two separate things. Tuition varies widely by programme, university and city. Chinese language programmes are usually the cheapest, undergraduate degrees sit in the middle, and specialist or clinical Master's programmes cost the most, and living costs are noticeably lower outside the largest cities. Tuition is paid to the university, not to us. Our own service fee is fixed and published: USD 199 to begin, which covers the university application fees and document translation, then USD 299 once your admission comes through. That is USD 498 in total. CSCA preparation is a separate programme at USD 149.

Is the first payment refundable?

No, and it is worth explaining why. The USD 199 goes straight out to the universities as application fees and to translators for your documents, so it is spent on your behalf rather than held by us. That is also the reason we review your documents against the entry requirements before you pay anything. If you do not meet the criteria we tell you at that point, before any money changes hands, rather than after.

Can I study in China in English?

Yes. Many Chinese universities run Bachelor's and Master's degrees taught entirely in English, particularly in engineering, business, computer science and medicine. Chinese taught programmes usually require a language qualification instead. We tell you which of the two a programme is before you apply, so there are no surprises after you arrive.

Do I need to speak Chinese or pass the HSK?

It depends on the programme. English taught degrees generally do not require Chinese, although some ask you to study it alongside your degree. Chinese taught degrees normally require an HSK level, commonly HSK 4 for undergraduate study and higher for some subjects. If you have no Chinese at all, a language programme is the usual route in.

What scholarships are available to international students in China?

The main routes are the Chinese Government Scholarship, often called the CSC scholarship, provincial government scholarships offered by individual regions, and university scholarships awarded directly by the institution. Confucius Institute scholarships cover Chinese language study. Each has its own eligibility rules, deadlines and document requirements, so we review which ones you realistically qualify for rather than applying to everything.

What documents do I need for a Chinese university application?

Most applications ask for your passport, academic transcripts, your highest qualification certificate, a study plan or personal statement, recommendation letters, a physical examination record and a passport photograph. Some universities also want a police clearance certificate or proof of funds. Requirements differ between universities, so we confirm the exact list for your choices and check every document before it is submitted.

When are the intakes for Chinese universities?

September is the main intake and carries the widest choice of programmes and scholarships. A smaller March intake exists at many universities. Applications generally open several months ahead, and scholarship deadlines close earlier than ordinary admission deadlines, which is the most common reason students miss out on funding.

What are the entry requirements for a Chinese university?

For a Bachelor's degree you normally need to have completed secondary school with results meeting the university's threshold, and to be at least eighteen. For a Master's degree you need a completed Bachelor's degree in a related subject. Applicants must hold a passport from a country other than China and be in good health. Individual universities and competitive scholarships set higher bars than these minimums.

Can I work while studying in China?

Part time work and internships are possible but not automatic. You need permission from your university and from the local entry and exit authority, which is then recorded on your residence permit, and there are limits on the hours you may work. Working without that permission puts your student status at risk. The rules change and are applied differently by region, so confirm your own situation before counting on any income from work.

Is a Chinese degree recognised in my country?

Degrees from universities recognised by China's Ministry of Education are widely accepted, and many countries hold mutual recognition agreements with China. Recognition still varies by country and by profession, and regulated fields such as medicine, law and engineering usually require a separate licensing step wherever you intend to practise. Check with the relevant authority at home before choosing a programme, and we will point you at what to ask.
